This isn't about tossing away our phones. Far from it. For our electronic devices are amazing. But that’s the problem, they’re too amazing. We can’t take our eyes off of our screens. We now, on average, spend 2 hours and 51 minutes per day looking at our phones. Over the course of one year this equates to 43 days, almost a month and a half, primarily surrendered to distraction.
Our electronic devices are distracting, stealing focus, preventing us from being at our productive best at the expense of our jobs, and often at the expense of our family, friends, and health.
Jeff’s presentation details his own struggles with screen distractions, in a manner that is both informative and entertaining, with the ultimate intent of raising awareness to how intrusive our electronic devices have become to the alarming extent that instead of us controlling them, they are now controlling us. Jeff uses his 20+ years as a nationally touring stand-up comedian to deliver an impactful, motivating and entertaining presentation that helps us understand what we're up against in rescuing our attentions from our screens, allowing ourselves as leaders to increase our productivity and ultimately help our team of employees do the same.
